Start
Writing
- Writing notes: tags, people, and links: tags,
@people, namespaced entities, front matter, [[links]], embeds, what counts as a note, editor assistance, and templates.
- Tasks: writing tasks and their dates, priorities, repeats, and steps; the Tasks view, the status bar, and Capture.
- Daily notes, reviews, and the calendar: today’s note, carrying tasks forward, weekly and monthly reviews, and the calendar.
- Renaming, moving, and parking: renaming notes and headings, extracting a heading, moving lines, and parking what you are not working on.
Finding
- Search: Find in Notes, the search box, Refine, and the query language.
- Search pages and tag overviews: a tag’s page, hub notes, taking results out, editing them all at once, merging tags, and undoing a write.
- Query blocks: a live list of a search’s results inside a note.
- Related notes, the graph, and the outline: what makes a note related, the Notes Graph, and the Outline.
Seeing the whole
- Task board: tasks as columns by status, priority, due date, person, or tag, or as a list or table.
- Home and Stats: the Dashboard’s figures and widgets, the Tags tab, and Stats.
- AI assistants: Suggest steps, and Deckard’s tools for Copilot, Claude Code, and other MCP clients.
